EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
My heart for people and serving the Lord brought me to Starting Point. After 3 years as the Development Director, I transitioned into the role of Executive Director. It is a great honor to lead a ministry with such a rich legacy in our community.
I am a graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University with multiple degrees and experience in business, healthcare and treatment foster care. I enjoy fundraising, building relationships, and encouraging people. Faith and family are most important in my life.
Abbey Ernst, MA, MSW, LISW
CLIENT SERVICES DIRECTOR
I hold a Bachelor's in Sociology, also a Master's in Counseling (Asbury Theological Seminary) and a Master's in Social Work (University of Kentucky). I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and enjoy counseling and coming alongside people in their time of need.
I love working at Starting Point because I value family time and serving others.
Jessica Kirby
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
I am an Interior Design Institute Graduate and have spent several years working in pro-life, non-profit ministries and mentoring women of all ages in my church.
I am excited to serve as Development Director here at Starting Point and to combine my love for art with my heart for ministry! I love event planning, digital & interior design, marketing & building meaningful relationships with those around me.
Charlotte Houser, ASBA
OFFICE MANAGER
I am a graduate of Thomas Edison State University, with an Associate in Business Administration. God opened the door for me to work at Starting Point, and I am incredibly blessed to be part of a ministry that is so close to my heart. As Office Manager, I supervise office administration and the boutique.
Family is a precious gift, so I am honored to support a family-centered ministry through my work.
Dr. Jonathan Hardin, D.O.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Hardin currently serves in the Department of Primary Care of Knox Community Hospital. Having received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Hardin is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and loves serving the whole family in a multi-generational context. Both Dr. Hardin and his wife, Emily, are excited to care for the families of Starting Point as an extension of service to the community.
Heather Lanzer, BSN, RN.
ULTRASOUND DIRECTOR
I graduated from Malone College with a Bachelor's in Nursing and have been a Registered Nurse for 24 years. Working in women's health is my calling, and I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to help women facing unexpected pregnancies.
As the Ultrasound Services Director, my main responsibilities include offering pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and options counseling.

CLIENT CARE COORDINATOR
Serving on the hospitality team and helping at events was a great introduction to the ministry of Starting Point.
I now serve as the Client Care Coordinator. I see how God is beginning to use my life experiences to help and encourage teens and young adults in a new way. I love being the welcoming face that puts a client at ease when they first walk through the door.
